Young Entrepreneurs Program

At Zig Zag Hub we provide learning sessions in Entrepreneurship after school hours which include: running for 10 weeks, term by term. Participants are welcome to join throughout the term.

7 - 12 years old

Is your child full of creative ideas?

At Zig Zag Hub we provide learning in the skills of Entrepreneurship by providing a variety of activities that incorporate the foundations of problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and public speaking. These skills are known as enterprise skills and essential for becoming job creators, not just job seekers in a world that is constantly changing.

In the continuous journey of learning and developing where ideas can be boundless, we foster the start-up a cycle of the idea, build, launch, learn and repeat the process.

We inspire students to be problem solvers, think outside the box, connect and communicate through pitching their own ideas - all of which will skyrocket their confidence.

At the end of the term a pitch fest is held where the young entrepreneurs can showcase their ideas and be given valuable feedback by mentors from within the business community.

Design Thinking Program:

Does your child want to start their own business? Our program contains the following components:

Values associated with Entrepreneurship

  • Leadership

  • Collaboration

  • Innovation

  • Respect

  • Adaptability

These foundations are woven into each week's lessons and by the end of the course, your child will have a firm understanding of how these values will help them to become a successful entrepreneur or creative.

Online Platform

This self-directed learning is monitored by the facilitator so each student is supported on their entrepreneurial journey.

Business development

The bulk of the session will allow students to work on their own individual projects. Interspersed in the weeks there will be time for Presentation Pitch Practices and Peer Feedback.

Game Design Program:

  • You’ll program animations, interactive art, and games in Game Lab.

  • Start off with simple shapes and build up to more sophisticated sprite-based animations and games, using the same programming concepts and the design process computer scientists use daily.

  • Build a portfolio of work that has you developing personalized and interactive programs.

Since my daughter was introduced to the program, she has absolutely loved it! Her ideas have taken shape and are now put into practice. Sophia loves interacting with the facilitators and workers at the space. The learning environment is safe, educational, and fun.

I can highly recommend this, especially for kids that are looking for something a little different. I saw fabulous changes in my son during the first term he did this subject and he was super keen for the term to start again! The educators/facilitators are phenomenal.

Keira - Participant

Zig Zag Hub has inspired me, empowered me, and encouraged me. I have learned invaluable business and life skills and Zig Zag has helped me to find my passion and a great business idea. I am extremely grateful to the Zig Zag Hub for creating such an amazing program. I would definitely recommend the program to anyone who is looking to awaken their creativity and learn new skills.

The Zig Zag Hub ran and organised a Year 10 Entrepreneur program for a number of students through out term 1.

The real benefits for the students was the improved confidence and sense of self when preparing to pitch their ideas. Students really enjoyed the program and learnt a lot. I would highly recommend this program.
