What is StartGap?

Our StartGap Program is a unique opportunity for individuals to gain an insight into the business world and an opportunity to work on an idea that you can turn into a real business or taking an idea to understand the concepts of business as a Start-Up Entrepreneur.

Why is it for you?

Over the course of the program, participants will develop their knowledge and business skill-set through our 10- week program lead by an expert facilitator that has owned and run businesses, with a mixture of industry experts speaking in their field and opportunity for collaboration to develop a clear understanding of all concepts of business.

​

The program is perfect for anyone looking to explore entrepreneurial career avenues like starting their own business, or for anyone looking to expand their business skills for future employment being an Intrapreneur.

How is the program delivered? 

​

The program will operate over a 10 week period. The time frame will allow individuals the opportunity to understand the core business topics and progress through the program in a time-efficient manner. By the end of the program, participants will have developed a clear business and marketing plan and will understand the fundamentals of business.

​

This will be delivered weekly where participants will participate in group work and activities that will ingrain and develop their understanding of the week's topic. This is where they will have the opportunity to discuss how they can implement what they have learned into their own idea/business. If participants don't have their own business idea a process of problem-solving critical thinking will assist them in coming up with an idea they can use as an exercise.

Industry experts from legal, finance, marketing, product development, web development, and customer service will be invited to come in to speak and answer any questions so that each participant understands each industry and the importance of the role it plays in the business world.

• The importance of an entrepreneurial mindset

• Develop a one page Business Plan identifying all concepts of business

• Finance/Funding for your business

• Legalities of running a business

• Branding and Marketing/ bring out your personal brand

• Customer Service/Communication

• Develop an elevator pitch

Our programs run one day a week, from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm over a 10-week Term (excluding School Holidays and public holidays) with breaks included.
